Movember Ain't Over Yet

Dave did the Movember thing this year and so very early this morning he was outside in the dark (he always shaves out on the patio) shaving a month's worth of facial hair into a Morgan Spurlock-style 'stache.

When he came in I asked him to show me the result. I'm posting this blurry pic because I think it's funny (I took it while I was still laying in bed--it was soo early--and we were both laughing at the totally foreign to his face Spurlock 'stache so I kept taking blurry photos with my cell phone) but there are clearer pics over on my flickr page. (Dave says The Spurlock is actually called The Trucker. Either way, it's a half-step away from bad 70s porn. Dave texted earlier that he's gotten several funny looks today.)

And let's see what else.

Saba was perched on my chest this morning as I took pictures and she was not amused at all by any of it.

And what else?

Goddamned probability and stats exam last night. Those are the notes and homework that we are allowed to use during the test and my calculator, warmed up and ready to go. I think I did okay on the exam itself. I worked through one problem four times and came up with nothing that even slightly resembled any of the multiple choice answers, so I know I got that one wrong. The other questions were fairly straightforward.  I was pretty nervous beforehand though.

It's only a week and a half until the final exam, a cumulative nightmare. And I should make some decisions about taking some other classes maybe. I may take a sign language class with Dave, another drawing class, and a class that a friend of mine is teaching in the women's studies department, a "women in science" class. I'd like to do another stats and probability class because I find that I really like the material. We'll see.

Hey La-oh-ra! Yes, everyone seems to have the same response to the stats class, but honestly I love it. I may have tapped into my inner math geek! You never know, right? You could be the next Nate Silver!
