There wasn't a whole lot, but there were these:
Those are some gorgeous old-school Fiskars that I got for $2. (See, they're already cavorting with my other tools, my blue-handled scissors and my jewelry-making pliers.) Man, I love old scissors, the really scary kind that are super sharp and made completely out of metal. I mean, don't get me wrong, plastic-handled scissors are a good thing. Plastic handles make scissors lighter and that's less taxing on your hands if you're using scissors all the time, but still, I love those giant, all-metal scissors. They seem so sinister somehow, don't they? They remind me of when I was a little kid and learning how to use scissors and how it seemed so complicated and dangerous.
Of course when I showed the new scissors to Dave, he started playing with them and almost immediately lost control of them and accidentally poked himself in his side with the scissor's sharp tips. See, they're the Christine of scissors.
And this is today's Shrinky Dink output. (Man, I'm obsessed with these things!)
Sorry for the crap photo, but there was no light by the time I got around to taking a picture of these pins that I made today. From left to right, there is a lotus flower, a heart on a green background, Buddha, and a bird that I copied from an old Aunt Martha embroidery pattern. I like the little bird the best I think.
