I'll just run an evening, a Saturday evening, by you. This was a bit atypical for an evening, as it consisted of a i(chi)jikai and nijikai (first and second parties) for Ellaine's going-away. (I can't tell how much of that last sentence is English, how much is Japanese, and how much is Japanese-English, so you're on your own.)

The pictures are small, too, but if you head over to flickr (by clicking on the link to your right), you can see larger (and more) photos.

Kachi Squared

The evening begins, as it often does, at Kachi-kachi, the bar upstairs from The Kaisha. I was with Junko and Seth, and we were waiting for everyone else to finish work, so we sat and had a few beers and some sashimi. I wasn't taking pictures of people at this point because Seth had just finished work and Junko had stayed out all night drinking the night before, and I didn't think anyone would be in the mood yet to pose for genki shashin. . Instead, I took pictures of the kind of food that we usually chow down on at Kachi.
