Jishin
There was an earthquake just now. I have to tell you about it because--well, because I almost missed it. That sounds funny, doesn't it? From the "You Can Get Used To Anything" Files: I thought I felt it, but I wasn't sure, so I had to look at the clothes swaying on their hangers in the closet to be sure that there was really an earthquake going on.
It's such a long time since I used to run around my apartment, wondering where I would go or who I would call if there were a big earthquake. Now, I think: Hmm. That's pretty gentle. Tokyo's probably not going anywhere this time.
I didn't even put on my shoes.
A new, longer entry follows this brief earthquake update.
