Tuesday I went to dinner with Erina, Akari, Kumiko, Eric, Yusuke, Takaki, Ise, Ryoko, and Kazuko at a place in Ginza called Takenori Hyaku-monogotari.
Wednesday (and Friday) I went to Kachikachiyama in Ginza to drink with students. (Note: The link doesn't take you to the Ginza Kachikachiyama, but to another branch of the same chain. Looks kind of like an older branch, too...)
Today, Saturday, I met Rin in Shinjuku and we went to Takashimaya Times Square (a twelve-story shopping mall), had lunch and talked for about five hours. Then we joined a party in Shinjuku (a group of people who Rin scuba dives with) at a place called Den Aquaroom. After, we went to karaoke at some nameless karaoke place in Shinjuku.

This is Kamakura, the restaurant where I had drinks and dinner with Yoko a few weeks ago. A couple of weeks later, she, Rin, Kaz and I had a cheap lunch at La Maremma. (When I say "cheap," I mean lunch was a $17.00 buffet.) After lunch, we went here, just to browse.
Again with Rin and Kaz, I went to this spa and after to dinner at Sakura Ginza.
I've been to Arty Farty in Shinjuku Ni-Chome once or twice! Ai-chan's birthday party was held at The Magic Bar. And I drank all night with the Handsome Businessman at Snapper & Grouper. This is The Clubhouse in Shinjuku San-Chome, Ben's hangout
Sometimes I have lunch at Chao Thai (this is a most hilarious link if you ask me), sometimes at First Kitchen.

The banana split is very dear to the heart of British diners of a certain age. It evokes memories of 70s and 80s childhood largesse. It should, by unwritten culinary law, involve a banana, cream and ice-cream, yes, but more than this: sprinkles, and drizzled sauces in raspberry and chocolate flavours. I will accept a glacé cherry. If you have a sparkler, I want that sparkler lit. I don’t care if Aunty Sheila loses an eyebrow: this is about me. The Bodean’s banana split is a passive-aggressive act. It’s what you give a bad child on their birthday if they have recently drop-kicked a guinea pig. It’s just a banana covered with squirty cream. While Instagram rocks with freakshakes and bespoke cronut-duffins catering to a Bake-Off showstopper-spoiled audience, over at Bodeans they’ve created the perfect post-Brexit banana split.
