For Your Own Good

I've had a great day so far.
After a fabulous lunch at the Greek Festival, I went with a friend to Cork Fest, an outsider art festival where I bought a drawing and saw a performance by the Front Seat Theater.Waiting our turn to see the play.
The play, For Your Own Good, was amazing. We, the audience (which consisted of me and my friend), sat in the backseat while the actors (with our participation) put on the play in the front seat. The story was simple: A father and mother had drugged and kidnapped their own daughter (played collectvely by me and my friend). The play begins as the daughter is waking up from the drug and ends with a murder/suicide. It was very intense. In the backseat.
After leaving the Cork Fest, I stopped by the Golden Crown Panaderia (translation: "Bakery"--for all the white folks) for my favorite snack: An iced coffee and a tostada ("cinnamon crisp"--for all the white folks). I had a long chat with Chris, who co-owns the shop with his father, about the changes that they're planning for the bakery. Not the tostadas, of course, but some moodily lit cookies at the panaderia.
It's been a terrific day. I need a nap!
