I think this little dried out monkey started out as a gift from Z to his son.** I don't know what the original plan for it was. Maybe they were going to put it in water and learn about...something. Rehydration? The perils of monkeys? Anyway, I don't know that it ever made it to the kid because I keep getting updates on the monkey's rehydration and subsequent dehydration process, and none of those photos bears any evidence that the monkey's been handled by a two-and-a-half year old.

**Okay, the real story (via Putty) is that X gave this monkey to Z. I don't know who named the monkey Hank though. Putty says that, close-up, the monkey's dried little paws resemble old, dried-out cheese.
