Blogging About Blogs

I spend way too much time online. I used to read novels (important ones, too, not SF crap like most people). I used to paint and draw. Now I surf the 'net and read other people's blogs.

The Handsome Businessman (remember him?) has a blog that I still check in on from time to time. If you didn't click on the link, the news with him is that he is getting a second tattoo and is at the suribori (outlining) stage.)

(Me and The Handsome Businessman at the top of Acoma Sky City.)

I also regularly read a blog called "Life of an American Mommy Living in Japan." I've never met this woman, but her name is Gina and she is from Colorado. She was going to university in Denver whe she met and married an exchange student from Japan named Noboru. Now they live in Chiba.

I read her blog partly from a "There but for the grace of God go I" feeling I get when I do read about her housewifey life. But I also read her because I have a hard time believing that someone who went to and graduated from college produces writing like this:

I got the Christmas wreath from the front door and packed it all away into the attic. Took all the garland down. Held the sides of the ladder so my hubby didn't fall down and kill himself, ha ha ha. And then we were done. I ran to the store while he stayed with the boys, who were still in a deep snooze. I went to a local DIY to buy some New years things. A very small and understated thing for the door. I coulda bought a bigger one, I gather, but nah. This was enough, it was fine. And I bought these 2 small little other things. They were made with real pine needles or whatever they are. But they smelled great. Although living in the country side, it always smells fresh and stuff anyway.

Graduated. From. College. Good thing her kids are growing up in Japan.
