New Earrings

One of the few Latina chica characteristics that I have left after The Great Whitewash of '79 is an inordinate fondness for large earrings like those pictured on my ears in this photo taken by Dave with his new camera. Look at those beauties. They were only ten bucks from a couple of middle-aged broads who were selling handmade jewelry from a Mexican blanket-covered folding table in front of Los Ojos Bar & Grill in Jemez Springs. I wore this pair all over the place, even while hiking in Bandelier. Those are perfect hiking earrings--though they make me the Latina equivalent of those women who are in full makeup at the gym.
