Lunch & The Newbie

A few days ago, Dave and I had lunch with The Newbie and her entourage (a modest group this time, consisting only of her mama and papa). Here, The Newbie was less interested in the food (a Mediterranean Nosh plate with hummus and a Greek Goddess salad with chunks of fried feta) than she was in the texture of the table.
I think she's teething because if you allow her hands to get near her mouth, she does this--
--complete with buckets full of drool.

The Fourth of July saw us back at Flying Star with Paul and Judi and Crunch. Kelly and Jean joined us later, just as it was getting dark. Dave and Paul did some Nerd Mind-Melding over Dave's new camera and Judi just rolled her eyes until Dave brought out his right-angle lens (also called a spy lens), then she giggled like a little schoolgirl and proceeded to take several pictures using it (which I won't post here). However, here is a a photo I took of some nearby unsuspecting diners using the spy lens.
