Palin's recent shallow interview answers remind me of a woman I once worked with who was going to school to become a teacher. One of the classes she had to take was a world history class and, of course, the class covered WWII. While she was taking the class, she came to me in amazement to ask me if I knew that Nazis were from Germany. I said, yes, of course. She asked how I knew that. I said that...I...just knew...I don't know how. I asked her where she thought Nazis were from and she said, "Japan. I always thought that Nazis were Japanese. Because doesn't it sound like a Japanese word?"
