Breathe

Breathe
More Shrinky Dink charms, wings and a reminder.

I could not sleep on Monday night, so of course Tuesday was a busy day. I had to take Dave to work so that I could use the car, so I dropped him off, drove home, realized that I had locked my keys in the house. Grrrr. I had to go back to Dave's office to get his keys. Only, I had left the house that morning without eating breakfast (which I never do, because if my blood sugar drops too suddenly, I tend to pass out), so I stopped at the Co-op and got a breakfast burrito (egg, cheese, potato, and bacon, and, while I was eating it, thought: who in the hell doesn't put green chile in a breakfast burrito?) and a bottle of water and a couple of chocolate brownie Clif Bars for later. Drove back to Dave's office, retrieved his key, and came home.

I jumped in the shower to get ready for a therapy appointment. I was already so exhausted that I thought about cancelling, but in the end I didn't cancel because therapists tend to read all kinds of things into that, and all I was was tired.

Went to therapy. Ssssssiiiiggggghhhhh. It was actually a good appointment from a therapy point of view, but what that means is that I felt wrung out after. We did some art therapy, which usually makes me nuts, but which was pretty productive this time. Here's the picture/drawing I did with chalk pastels.

Wishful Thinking

I call it "wishful thinking."

After therapy, I called Kelly First so that we could take a walk and get some exercise. We walked up and around some crazy neighborhoods and we saw a saluting cactus, a youngish roadrunner, an old graveyard, and Judi's old house.

And the day's lagniappe: Kelly First pointed me in the direction of these:

Bioreview Sheets

Three little pads of "Bioreview Sheets," worksheets about the care and use of microscopes, animal cells, and mitochondrion function.

This is the microscope one:

Care and Use

Which I used as a template to make a tiny little microscope charm.

Shrinky Dink Microscope

And that was Tuesday.
