This one strikes me as kind of creepy:
And, as you can see, I've been incorporating Frida Kahlo's picture into the collages:
The words are from the same paperback book that I've been cannibalizing to make paper beads, like the ones I used to make these earrings:
I also used the origami paper beads that I made to make these earrings:
The colors in the photo washed out, but this pair of earrings is a bit garish in real life. The paper is turquoise blue and white and when rolled into a bead, it has a very Hawaiian shirt feel to it. The beads I used had, of course, to be orange.
I've tried all but one of the origami papers that I bought (the brown and orange paper). This is the green.
My patience is holding out on the bead making, but my next paper project may or may not involve making paper beads. Depends on The Brain, really.
Despite the numerous new work photos, I actually didn't have a lot of time to go all craftzy today. I know you'll be sympathetic when I tell you that part of the reason is because I had to go and get an hour-long massage from Leah. (Of course, that was followed by four and a half hours of tutoring my niece on the finer points of cellular respiration and then an hour of socializing with my aunt Char and Judi before an hour of water aerobics.)
