Wednesday Crafting
Here's a piece inspired by Kathy Cano-Murillo, the Crafty Chica. I did several collages and such this morning, in between varnishing paper beads for the never-ending paper bead project.
These dark rose colored beads are rolled from pages cut out of fashion magazines that Kelly First gave me. (Thanks, Kelly!) I used images from the same magazine to make a few collages that I want to turn into stab-bound journals.
This collage is made out of a flamingo from an tourist ad for Florida. The "egg" is a pendant from a jewelry ad.
The text says, "I look back at the time before and think how self-centered my life was. Then when I knew what was wrong, I grieved for my own dreams."
That is a quote from an article about a woman whose son has autism.
