So That Was Christmas!

(This will be a short entry because I smashed a finger while trying to help Dave change the tire on my niece's car after we had a blow out on the highway yesterday.  Damn tire.)

Okay, then. There was Christmas.

You can see behind The Newbie the small, home-away-from-home collection of toys she brought on a little roadtrip we took to visit family--Grandma and Grandpa and the uncle and near-aunt she's never met.  For an overnight trip, The Newbie brought along her usual entourage (her mama, Dave, and me), a bag for clothes and necessities, a bag for diapers and such, and a whole separate bag of toys (her new Elmo, a play vacuum cleaner, two toy puppies, a plastic Minnie Mouse handbag filled with a cell phone, lipstick, keys and a mirror, as well as a few assorted Happy Meal toys thrown in for good measure) and a few books.

Whew.

I'll write more about our visit when my finger feels better--or when I work out how to type without using the letters i and k, and the comma key. Damn finger.
