My Day With Albus

Sadly, I've been unsuccessful in my bid to convince Dave to let me bring Albus the studio cat home to live with us. Albus doesn't have a bad life necessarily, I just think that he gets lonely when he's left in the studio by himself at night after everyone has gone home. I also think that because he's kind of a communal cat, no one really takes responsibility for his care beyond making sure his food bowl is full of dry food.

While I'm working, Albus often spends time with me and we've grown fond of each other. A few days ago, while Dave and I were at Target, I picked up some canned cat food and treats for Albus. And today, I picked up a bed for him so that he would have a comfortable place to lie down while he is in our little private studio space.

See? He loved it. For awhile anyway...

See? That's the bed, just beyond him on my shelf. He decided that his best course of action is to alternate between lying on my table and lying in his little bed.

At least he was giving me a little space to work. Although sometimes he needs a little loving.

He wasn't quite sure how to feel about having me scratch his back at the base of his tail. It made him quite talkative but not particularly bite-y.
