This little cup is from a clay called B-Mix. It's glazed with two glazes, ice blue and gun metal green. (I think.) Anyway, the combo was very runny and it stuck the cup to the shelf. (I turned the ugly side away from the camera, naturally.)
There's another small thrown bowl, also made from B-mix. I can't remember what the glazes are on that one. Maybe a blue purple and something else...Anyway, it's a good thing I keep glaze records, because that's how glazing goes. The combinations are so clear in my mind when I put them on the piece, then they're a bit less clear when I take them out of the kiln, and then a month out, I'm reduced to ruling out all the orange and red and brown glazes and then guessing that they're maybe a couple of glazed in the blue range.
EXAM DAY!
Yes, it's exam day in botany and I woke up with a raging headache. I'm trying to placate The Brain with some caffeine and internet time, but so far it's been no deal. I have about six hours before the exam, so I'm going to go to the library and review a few things. Then I'm going to take the exam. Then I'm going to the studio to work for awhile.
