On Tuesday before the final, I went to the library to surf the net on one of the computers. I sometimes, while waiting for the computer to get up and running, rifle through the boxes of old card catalogue cards that are set out for people to use as scrap paper. This was the first card I pulled out of the box, this book about Sin comma Original. It made me laugh. First, I mean, is there a Dewey decimal designation for everything? And second, why would you break up that particular phrase in that particular way? Would you go looking, for example, under Mouse comma Mickey if you needed to find a book about the famous Disney character?
Anyway, like I said, I ran into this before the final. Then I went and took the final and I did fine. Then I went home and took a nap. No, actually, that's not true. Then I went to the studio. I threw a few things and then I came home and ate tamales and snuggled with Saba and took a nap.
Dave is home from New York--he was away on a business trip--but his suitcase is not yet home from New York. Because of a delay, Dave got rerouted through Chicago, but his suitcase kept the original plan to go through Atlanta which meant that it didn't catch the flight out and was stuck overnight in Atlanta, most likely. I can think of worse things, I guess.
