Thursday Came and Went

Yesterday it was cool and rainy and gray all day, which is actually a welcome change to the gruelingly hot weather that was followed by gruelingly hot and humid weather. In the morning my mother had PT; she's transitioning from the walker to a cane and her therapist says she's making really good progress.

It was still drizzling in the afternoon when we went off to the theater to see a movie.

Yes, we saw Despicable Me 2. (And yes, I took that pic as the credits were rolling and the lights were up and most people had already left the theater.) It was cute and about as incoherent as you'd expect a children's movie to be. The real stars of the movie are those little yellow minions that speak in a mix of garbled languages, mostly Italian.

And here are a few more pics of "Unlimited Possibilites," the downtown shop that Dave likes. (I've driven by there numerous times and I've never seen this place open.)

I think the best thing about this place is not the chaotic inventory but that all the amateurish signs have (nearly) perfect grammar and spelling.

Totally unexpected, man.

And this is the entrance to the black light miniature golf room at the movie theater. (They also have bowling and a small arcade and, I think, a cantina where you can get a proper drink.)
