They've been through bisque, so now I have to hit them with a layer of clear glaze and send them through a final firing.
I've been trying to get out to the studio in the evening while I've been baching it. I've actually made it there twice this week, once on Monday when I just socialized a bit and got no work done. And once tonight when I glazed a piece that's been on my shelf for months and months.
Today was also Therapy Thursday. My therapist likes to focus on what's going well in my life, which is a switch for me, addicted as I am to things going badly. It makes me paranoid when things go well. Seriously. I'm not used to being in that mindset and I feel threatened by it. I haven't talked to her about that yet. Today we talked about the unconditional love of pets. She's got a menagerie herself (three dogs, a cat, two birds) that puts our little two cat house to shame. (Though I guess by extension I also have three dogs in my life.)
I promised that this week I'd spend time thinking about the resolutions I want to make for the new year. Of course, last year's resolution was to read three books a week--and I did well until June, when I went to Deming to help out my mother after her surgery. I think I might try that again, but with a lesser goal, maybe one or two books a week at most. I'd also like to start taking better care of myself, whatever that means. And I want to learn some new skills, clay- or otherwise. I also would like to travel more this coming year, more than our one big-ish trip a year would be nice. I'll need to renew my passport if we're going to travel overseas.
That's a start anyway.

Love the pot.
My only new year's resolution this year will be the same as last year. I resolve to learn to laugh like Billy Connolley.
Ok, I'm stealing that resolution! ;)
Everyday has something good in it I think, Just getting a restful nights sleep & being able to stretch without an alarm telling me it's time to go to work. Oh wait....I'm retired:))
Love you
Yes, that's a good way to look at it!
