A Few Hours After This

I take my last final in a few hours. It's not one that I care about, so I didn't study at all. (Mid-semester, I got sick and missed an exam that I couldn't make up, so now I can't do well grade-wise and I'll have to retake the class next semester. It was too late to drop, so I basically stopped going to class except to show up to take exams to keep from getting an F on my transcript.

All that to say: I didn't spend a single minute worrying about this exam in the morning.)

Dave and I had dinner last night at an upscale Greek joint with my mother, aunt and little cousin. I hadn't been there in years, maybe 15-20 years, and I remember not being that impressed with it. Maybe now that I'm older and a little more relaxed, I can appreciate it a bit more. Anyway, we had fun and there was some good food.

After, Dave and I came home and did a bit of laundry and housework. Oh, boy! Once we got the laundry all hung outside, it started to rain. Of course. Everything was on drying racks, so we brought it inside and now it's about 90% humidity in the casita. Normally that would be fine, because it would evaporate and keep us cool, but with the rain adding to the humidity outdoors, it's just all conspiring to make my normally fine, straight hair look bigger. Slightly bigger.

So there's that.

Anyway, I'm so glad this semester is over (after 8:30 tomorrow morning, that is). I don't know what it was about this summer, but there were times when I just really did not want to be sitting in class. I'm going to spend part of my break at the studio (I've definitely missed clay this summer!), part of it traveling, and part of it studying for the entrance exam I'm taking in early September.

I have lots to do during the break and not much break to do it in. Classes start again for me on September 2. Oh, boy!
