Week Seven
It's Tuesday, my weekly day off (I also have weekends off). Today I slept late--or tried to, since I am dog sitting and the dogs think that 6:05 in the morning is plenty late enough. I got up, fed them, took my meds, then went and lay back down for awhile and watched a few episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee online.
Awhile later, I had some breakfast (leftover avocado pasta and roasted chicken).
Later in the morning, my brother and I went grocery shopping. I usually shop at the hippie-dippy co-op, but my brother likes the larger, more mainstream grocery store. And I have to admit that things there are much cheaper (though they don't carry a lot of the things that are staples in our house). I bought milk and veggies and a few other things like sliced cheese. I always find something, some junky things, too. This time, I brought home some Doritos (yum). A few trips ago I brought home some prepared tapioca pudding that was horrible. (It tasted like the flour paste we used to mix up to make for paper mache, only sweet.)
We were going to stop for a take-out lunch at a local fried chicken place, but when we got there the line was insane, so we ended up going through the Wendy's drive through. My brother ordered fish sandwiches, which are of course on special for Lent. I had a burger and lemonade.
After I brought home the groceries and visited with Dave and the kitties, I took a nap. It was only about an hour, but I was feeling pretty drowsy from a combination of my allergies and the allergy pill that I took to combat my allergies. When I woke up, I felt even more tired than when I went to sleep.
I woke up to a text from Judi asking if she was ever going to see us again. We haven't been to the studio in awhile, I've been so busy with school and Dave so busy with Saba.
We're making dinner right now--roasted veggies (cauliflower, turnips, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts), veggie sausage for Dave, leftover roasted chicken for me, a simple salad of red cabbage and radishes. Then I have to study for an exam I have tomorrow.
Then I'm going to bed. I have to be up at 5 tomorrow. Ugh.
