What's That, You Say? (#10)
I was up early and worked a bit on my art journal. For the moment I'm doing a layout (that is, a two page something or other) a day--or at least starting and mostly finishing a layout a day. Three days in a row. That's got to be some kind of record, right?
After a bit, Dave got up and had to go out to run some errands. I took a nap then got up and showered and dressed. Today's lipstick? Covergirl Continuous Cover Lipstick in the shade Vintage Rose. (This is not my favorite color. I bought it because I saw an article on Buzzfeed about inexpensive lipsticks and it looked amazing on the woman wearing it and I thought we had similar enough coloring that it would look similarly amazing on me. But I was wrong. It, along with the pinky nude freebie one I wore yesterday, will probably get tossed out at the end of the month.)
We had lunch today, David and I, with my mother and brother. We had Chinese food. We ordered too much Chinese food so we came home with two big containers of leftovers and my brother took home two big containers of leftovers. Like I said, we ordered way too much food.
On the way home, we dropped off the gifts we bought for the charity tree at the co-op, then we came home via the giant fizzy drink route. (I've been nursing my giant fizzy drink for hours now.)
Dave has gone off to spend the night at his mother's house as he's worried about leaving her alone. This morning, I suggested that he get her some kind of device that she can wear that will allow her to call for help if anything were to happen to her when she was alone. (The only drawback of those things is that they often don't work outside the house, nor do they work if the person is too disoriented to remember they have it on or if they are too incapacitated to remember to use it.) Anyway, he agreed, so he went off to Walmart to pick up something that lets her contact either him or an emergency number by pushing one button.
That means I'm home alone this evening. I art journaled for a bit then sat down to watch some British quiz shows on YouTube. Just letting my brain slowly turn to mush is my new pastime.
