An amazing gift from Kelly (and Kevin!) on the left, a giant hand carved ink stone that Kelly found at an estate sale (along with a huge roll of rice paper)! Look at that! It's beautiful!
A gift from Yuko Tsuboi on the right, a going away gift from when I left Tokyo, so long ago.
New crumb blocks.
New Ott Light to se(e/w) by. No curtains on the windows yet. Maybe someday?
Bottled sumi ink. Remind me sometime to tell you an awful story about sumi ink.
A closer look at the ink stone from Kelly (in a custom made box no less) paired with the mini ink stick from my small set. What an amazing gift!! I have four ink stones now: one I have had since high school (that I may have stolen?), a small square one I bought a few years ago, the one Yuko gave me, and this beaut from Kelly. Quite a collection, no?
Other new things in our lives: an elliptical trainer that Dave spent hours putting together, a set of sheets, my tinnitus (worsening, not new).
Things that got messed up this past week: my computer, my ankle, a can of whipped cream, our car's back window, a glass vase, my stomach.
It's been quite a week.

Sorry you've had such a week! I hope next week will be better. The quilt looks so nice.
Hi Kelly, I guess there's no place to go but up, right? My little jumble quilt will be years in the making, but I'm enjoying the process!
