Stash

I finished two quilts in the last week, though I did not get photos of them yet. Both were started last year and sent off to be quilted at the beginning of last summer. I had them back by the end of last August and they've just been waiting for me to put binding on them. I finally just bit the bullet and did it. I just realized that I did not put any label on the second one I finished. The first one I just called "Another Pandemic Quilt."

I'm so sick of this fucking pandemic.

In other news, we had a bit of rain and snow since I last updated. Nothing stuck and the ground has been dry for awhile now, but I swear, it did happen.

My latest project has me organizing my fabric collection, putting the fabric I own onto acid-free cardboard forms that are normally used for comic books. You can see in the upper left corner how things look once the fabric is folded to fit the cardboard and then placed on the shelf.
It's more orderly and makes it easier to access individual cuts of fabric, but it takes up more space than my old fold and stack method.
It is a work in progress. I ordered 200 of the cardboard backings and so far I've used 91 of them and I'm not quite halfway through my fabric.

So that's the latest.

My ass is slowly getting better. It still hurts to sit for too long, but it doesn't feel like I'm getting stabbed in the ass with a sharp knife. It feels more like I'm getting stabbed in the ass with a dull knife. Progress.

I've been reading again, which is good. I made my way through Alice Oseman's graphic novels that the Netflix series Heartstopper is based on. When I finished those, I read one of her novels, Solitaire, and a novella, Nick and Charlie. I started on a third, Loveless. They're decent for young adult novels. I also ordered a copy of Spare, Prince Harry's autobiography. Like the rest of the world, I'm curious about what he has to say.

As far as binge-watching goes, I rewatched Heartstopper. Then I had to rinse some of that saccharine sweetness out of my brain, so I started rewatching The Sopranos. Talk about whiplash.
