Not too long ago, she asked me if I liked her more now or when she was a little kid. I said that of course I like her more now, as we can talk about adult things and I don't have to be so careful about what I say to her and she's a lot more interesting besides. But the question kind of stuck in my head, and later I thought, I'd like to strangle whomever it was who told her that they liked her more when she was a baby/kid. Who tells someone that? Anyway, that's my bit of grumpy for today. Stop telling people that you liked them more before they changed something about themselves, okay? That's my advice to you.
