Wednes. Day.

I'm actually feeling a bit unhinged today, which is not a good thing. I don't know whether to blame the caffeine, the mosquito bites (I probably have West Nile virus now), the OFF! poison I doused myself in repeatedly yesterday, or anxiety over the water aerobics class I'm going to go to later.

It seems like such a good idea, when in such a state, to go grocery shopping, so I did:

Foodstuffs

That, my friends, is a typical-ish grocery run for me. What is that? There is some pita-like Ezekiel "Pocket Bread," some unsweetened soy milk, a couple of Amy's burritos, a KIND fruit and nut bar for David, a bag of yogurt-covered pretzels (my lunch), a couple of small containers of Greek yogurt (what should have been my lunch), a small tub of French sheep's milk feta, and a container of kalamata and roasted garlic feta.

I imagine dinner will be Greek salads with feta and hummus, pita on the side, and blueberries (which we have) with yogurt. (Damn, I should've bought some honey.)

Here is another picture:

Datura Blossom

That is my poisonous beauty, my datura, in bloom. That white flower is several inches across. The blossoms attract all kinds of huge insects, including hawk moths.

In many instances, datura are considered to be a weed because they are poisonous and invasive. Dave and I were thinking that it might be fun to have a "weed garden" next year and the datura would fit right in, maybe with some mustard and some nettles (which I love).

I want to come eat at your house!
Hope you feel better soon, and that you do not have west nile or deet poisoning! (You sound like my mind, it goes to those places a lot!)

You're welcome anytime!

Yeah, my brain is very unruly--and a bit of a hypochondriac.

P.S. Your dolls are AWESOME!
