I've been painting every day. Today I painted a new picture frame. I continued the long process of varnishing my altar. And I painted in my new journal. This is today's journal painting:
It's an interior view of a human heart done in shades of red, turquoise, and gold.
This is yesterday's painting:
That photo is taken at a weird angle. The painting is of a scapula and part of a humerus. Yes, I've been dipping into my old anatomy coloring book for inspiration. Opposite the scapula painting is this, a list of some of the things I love:
-My flowering plants: Their quiet, dedicated lives....and so on.
-The cricket that lives outside my kitchen window.
-How love makes some things visible.
-How love makes some things invisible.
-Spiders, especially jumping spiders.
-Seeing a woman with very dark lipstick on.

These are great! The heart one reminds me of Medieval illuminated pages. :-)
Thanks! I was thinking "Heart of Gold." (Perhaps like the ship from "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"!)
