Was It Really Monday?

It was Monday, right?

Today I had a massage and then I went to study with my niece. She's studying biology and psychology this semester and we went over the parts of the cell. We met at one of the cafes where we often met last semester, but for some reason, The Brain was not happy today with the noise level at the cafe. It made me feel all weird and migraine-y, and I cut our study session short (four hours seemed enough time).

Dave stayed home sick today. In fact, he is sick, but he also wanted to go strawberry picking here, in our strawberry patch.

Strawberries!

Can you see all those ripe little strawberries in there? This is the Great Strawberry Harvest of 2009:

Strawberry Haul

To give you an idea of the size of those strawberries, the bowl that they're on is about the size of a tuna can.

This is what Dave did with them:

Mobile Office & Snack

Mmmmm...Half a cantaloupe filled with lemon granita (thanks, Kelly!) topped with four strawberries and eaten outside on the patio where Dave set up his little mobile office. (He's still working outside now, at 10 pm. So much for a sick day.)

This is my journal painting for the day:

Fat Cell Love

Yes, it's a fat cell. Beautiful, no? I might be back to painting my demons.
