And here they are pretending to be awake:
(Sorry, Lu, I made you look like a deer in the headlights in this picture. See, the flash on my camera is apparently the flash of the damned. C. looks good though, no?)
So there's that.
Here's my other (new) friend, Albus the studio cat:
There he is, napping on the small slab roller. Albus apparently has a thing for slab rollers. Here he is helping Dave roll out slabs on the large slab roller:
He's so helpful, no?
I miss having cats around enough that I let Albus get away with murder, napping under the warm lights on my workspace while I'm trying to work, leaving cat paw prints in my rolled out slabs, drinking from my cup--all the joys of cat ownership. In fact, I'd love to bring him home, but Dave has nixed the idea. (Maybe I'll just surprise him.)
(What have I been working on at the studio? Check out my long-neglected crafty blog...)
Oh, here's another thing:
While I was looking up "paw print" to see if it were one word or two (my dictionary says two words, Wikipedia says one--and we all know to distrust Wikipedia, don't we?), I found the word "pawky." Have you ever heard the word "pawky" before? Apparently, it's a Chiefly Brit. adjective that means a sly sense of humor. (As in: He had a pawky look about him.) Pawky. Word of the day. Try to slip that into a conversation, hmmm?

Hey, Chica! I had a low-key thanksgiving...man, that jet lag! I swear it takes me longer to get over it now that I'm older. They should call it a travel hangover...
