Order

One of the several pieces I worked on tonight, this small bowl. It's still green (unfired clay) and I'm painting it with white and black underglaze in a mendhi-inspired design. I took this picture early in the process. It's actually much advanced from there.

Etc.

What have I been up to lately besides working at the studio?

I've been hanging out on the Makeup Alley boards, trading views and comments and quips and useless opinions with other women who also frequent the boards. I need to cut it out though, which I realized this morning after I found myself in a heated exchange about the amount of time Katie Holmes spends carrying four-year-old Suri Cruise. How pathetic is that? So now I'm following a strict Makeup Alley embargo.

I've also been Netflixing old episodes of Soap. Have you ever seen this show? It's hilarious. Even thirty-plus years after its debut, it's so timely and funny and cutting edge. I'm watching the second season now, the season in which the gay son gets a girl pregnant and the murderer father goes into a coma. In another storyline, a former-mobster son who has to marry his mob boss's daughter is about to embark on a Taming of the Shrew solution to his problems.

I love this show so much.

Oooh, I love that bowl. I always fall for the symetrical. I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Thanks, Heather! I took it out of a bisque firing last night and who knows where it'll go from here.
