Work/Space

Hey, Lu Ann! Check these out! Do you know what they are?

Yes, I know what they look like,  but the woman who made them (NO, it wasn't me!) told me that they're chess pieces. And she said it with a straight face--and she's kinda middle aged and vanilla besides--so I guess I'm going to choose to believe her.

It's been awhile since I shared a picture of my workspace complete with work in progress. Tonight I was glazing beads. I haven't made beads in awhile; these have been hanging around waiting for me to finish them.

They may look something like this, some of them, when I'm done. I hope.

It's been hot as Hades in the studio recently because the air conditioner crapped out. Outside it was 102 degrees (seriously) so inside it was either 115 or a cool 101. Anyway, it was fucking hot in the studio. I thought about cooling off by going to sit outside in my car with all the windows rolled up, it was so hot. That's me complaining; the AC was fixed yesterday and now it's a relatively pleasant 90 degrees.

What was I talking about? Oh right, beads.

There are a group of craftsy-type women who post their work and workspace here, at Kootoyoo's. You can see what other craftsy women are up to.
