See?

Are you sick of cat pictures? No? Here's another one. She climbed up between me and the computer and turned her butt to me (you can see her tail alongside my face) so I used the camera on the computer to take our picture. She's such a sweetie.

She's settling into her new name, Saba.

What else has been going on this week?

I went and had an eye exam and ordered two new pairs of glasses and am having a pair of lenses put into an old pair. I'm most excited about my old pair. They're actually close to twenty years old, and when I bought them they were probably the most expensive thing I owned. More expensive than the car we were driving at the time, I think. I don't know what drew me to them, but I was glad to have them and I wore them until they were too scratched up to see through--seven or eight years, perhaps--and then I put them away and kept them for another twelve years. In about two weeks, they'll be back with new lenses.

I'm rather happy about that.
