This little sweetheart is glazed in black, really red, sunset pink and Archie's base.
This smiley little banky is glazed in turquoise and black.
This little striped banky is eggshell and black.
This alien banky is black, red, eggshell, gunmetal green, desert sage, and peacock green. He's a bit too metallic-y green, but I like the luridness of his red lips. (Also, I once dated a guy whose lips and teeth looked almost exactly like that.)
And I like the glaze job on this little banky (pansy purple, Archie's base, eggshell, and black), but before I glazed it, one of the guys who works in the studio said, "It looks pretty phallic," and now I can't unsee that part of it.
In other pottery news, there is an NCECA (the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts--potters should not be allowed to name things) conference this week in Tampa, Florida. I'm not going of course, but some of my and Dave's mugs are, as demo pieces for the glazes our studio owner is hawking at the conference. It's funny, but Martin, the studio owner, picked out of my mug collection what I consider to be some of the ugliest mugs I have. Dave's were much nicer, of course.

Love them! And you need to give me more glazing lessons! :-)
Doood! I didn't know you had a blogger account. Where's your blog, chica??
Such crazy little characters! Bet the phallic bank (too true!) could be a big seller.
Haven't set it up yet! LOL!
