Happy Christmas!

Our little tree is overwhelmed by gifts. We opened a few on Christmas eve, of course. Dave got several books about clay from his mother as well as a brulee torch (which he's already planning on taking to the studio). We also decided to open one gift from each other. I got a package filled with scented candles and Dave got a package filled with Christmas treats like chocolate and nuts and cookies. We'll open the rest after Santa gets here.

Ah, Santa.

Ho Ho Ho!

La Familia

That is my older brother, Rudy, with Santa, a long long time ago. Santa hasn't aged well, as evidenced by this picture (the only one I have of me--and Kelly, too--with Santa):

That Santa was pretty lit up, too.

Ha Ha Ha!

From a New York Times article about different kinds of Christmas traditions:

“For at least five years, our tradition has been to pull out our special edition DVD of the greatest movie ever made, which is ‘Showgirls,’ and watch that.” — David Peterman, an owner of a kitchen-tool company in Seattle.
