We came home and I fed Crunch his breakfast then I did a few more rounds of laundry in between episodes of Law & Order. I love that show. There's something so satisfying about it. I've watched most of the episodes on Netflix, but I still will stop and watch if I run across one on cable while I'm housesitting. My favorites are the ones with Lennie Brisco.
I was still pretty tired (had only gotten about five hours of sleep), so I went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours. I woke up to a text from Dave so I texted him back. He appeared a little while later and we went out for lunch.
(While I was waiting for Dave, I got a call from Kelly. She told me that she and Kevin had found parts of what they suspect was a coyote-caught cat in the front yard. Yikes! I told Dave he needs to keep Gray Kitty (our indoor-outdoor cat) inside at night.)
For lunch ee went to the Chinese restaurant. The older, better cook is still AWOL--we should probably ask where that guy went to--but we ordered our (once) beloved broccoli and egg fu young. While we were ordering, the woman behind the counter who almost always takes our order presented us each with a pair of chopsticks in a small carrying case, a little reward for our continuing patronage. We thanked her, of course, but still went with our usual disposable wooden chopsticks (me) and plastic fork (Dave) to eat our lunch.
In the afternoon, we spent a bit of time working in the studio. I've been glazing and underglazing. I'm getting bored working the pieces I have now and I want to start a new sculpture, but I'm hesitant to do that because I don't have a lot of time to devote to it. I could do most of it in one day, but it would mean having to get back to it in a week or so and I'm not sure I can do that.
Dave helped finish up the laundry and then we watched a bit of TV. He left early, around 4:30. I had dinner (leftover pizza) a bit later then watched some more Law & Order. (I love that show. Did I already say that?)
Crunch is already asleep. I'm back in bed watching youtube videos and reading various things on the internet. I really should just turn out the light and get to bed.

What a pretty dog!
Glad to see you back on here - hope all is well.
I loved Law and Order, too. We stopped watching L&O: SVU because Olivia drove us nuts.
I'm becoming a fan of Law and Order too. It comes on late at night here and the episodes are really old, but I enjoy it. The acting is great, stories are interesting and it is fun to see who will show up on each episode.
Yikes about the cat. Coyotes are some thing I don't worry about here, but we had to when I was a kid on the farm at home.
Hi Carol! Yes, little Crunch is a joy. I love to spoil him when his owners are out of town. I had never seen any of the L&O's without Elliot until tonight when I watched an episode with Olivia and her new partner. (I can see why they canceled it after Christopher Meloni left!)
Anyway, I'm still having the same issues around here, but I decided to ignore it. Works great!
Hi Helen! You never know what you're going to find in English on TV in Japan, do you? They had some terrific guest stars. Have you seen the one with Martin Short? He did a great job with a serious role. Very twisted.
Coyotes can be trouble--although I tend to like them just because they're such wild, untamable creatures living in the midst of the city. I don't like them enough to sacrifice one of my beloved cats to one though!
