O.R. You?
I had my usual sleepless night but did get a few hours of sleep in the morning. When I woke up, I joined the chat room of the weekly livestream of an artist I like. She does really lovely portraits, but in the mornings, she does a livestream where she does everything from calligraphy to collage to coloring in adult coloring books. She chats away and drinks coffee while she works and it's interesting to watch. She sometimes goes on for three or four hours, but I usually only drop in for half an hour or so to see what she's got going on.
After I watched for a bit, I fell asleep again for awhile. I was supposed to be studying, but I really needed the sleep! It was good that I did do a little bit of catching up on my sleep in the morning because I spent the afternoon and early evening with my mom at the hospital. Her knee was still in bad shape from the spill she took on Sunday so we went to the local ER to have it looked at. She came home with her knee in an immobilizer, her foot in a boot, and a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. So there's that.
I missed going to the gym today, obviously, so when I got home (after downing a dinner that consisted of a Quarter Pounder and fries and a bottle of water) I did a half-hour on the bike. I actually broke it up into three 10 minute segments just to keep The Brain from rebelling too much. In between the segments, I did the online homework modules that were due today. When I was finished, I took the online quiz and put that to bed.
I don't think I mentioned last week that I registered for next semester. I signed up for the second semester of A&P and pathophysiology. This class ends in the second week of December, then classes start up again the first week of January.
My headaches came back today, too. I wonder if they're being triggered by some bad weather moving in--or the stress of going to the hospital (my hives also came back with a vengeance once we were there)--or the usual monthly hormonal storms that wreak havoc on my system. Or maybe it's a fine combination of all three. Anyway, I called to try to make an appointment with my doctor, but after getting a voicemail system that refused to allow me to leave a voicemail, I called the main office line to find out that he and his entire staff were out of the office. They took a message (my leaving it was an exercise in whistling into the wind, I'm sure) but I'll call again tomorrow to try to get ahold of someone useful.
It's only around 10:30 now, but I have to be up at 5:45 in the morning, so I'm going to brush my teeth and turn in for the night!
