Let's Get Bored!
My vertigo has been messing with my head all morning long, man! It sucks because yesterday was a perfect non-vertigo day. I think it was too much driving and too little sleep over the last 24 hours. Ugh.
Yesterday's lesson was: Therapy at 6:00 is too late.
After therapy, I came home via the co-op. Dave is on a business trip, so I wanted to pick up something quick for dinner instead of cooking for one. I bought a half a rotisserie chicken, some soup, blueberries and a small bag of chips. Sad, no? I ate part of the bag of chips on the way home and my dinner was some of the chicken and a sweet potato that I tossed in the microwave.
Since I skipped out on my pathophysiology lecture Monday night, I texted one of the women in my class to ask about what I had missed. She got back to me around 11:00 p.m. with about twelve texts including photos. I knew she would be thorough; I've seen her notes in class.
I studied for awhile and then read a bit.
I think I said I've been trying to do a bit more reading? I have. My left brain is enjoying it after all the right brain stuff I've been doing recently.
I've also started a bullet journal recently. Have you seen these things? It's sort of a cross between a daily planner and a journal. I saw a video about it on youtube and bought a new journal to use to make one (it can be done in any old journal, but I wanted a specific one). I also indulged in a couple of sets of pens (a set of 30 Stabilo fineliners and a set of gel pens from Muji in the 0.38mm nib size that I prefer).
One of the interesting things about bullet journals is the "habit tracker" where you basically keep track of the habits you want to build. Mine is simple and so far includes things like exercise, meditation, reading, and blogging. Some people track them over a month, but I've been going week-to-week just so I can change it up and keep The Brain from getting too bored with things.
It started to rain last night around 11:30 and rained until I fell asleep around 2:00 a.m. The cats declined my offer to bring them in. But they were certainly ready to come in at 6:00 when I woke up!
I skipped my morning lecture. (I have no idea what I'm going to do about this class! Ugh.) I took a short nap instead.
