Early Week
The weekend? What happened to the weekend? I mean.
Monday morning I met with a new healthcare provider, a nurse practitioner who was recommended by a friend. It was an expensive visit. She doesn't take insurance and a one hour visit cost me $190. Ouch. The jury is still out on whether or not it will turn out to be a productive relationship, but if it's not, I'll cut if off quickly because I certainly can't afford to shell out that kind of cash on a regular basis.
When I came home, it was still early and I hadn't gotten much sleep (a little less than 90 minutes) the night before, so I got back into bed. I ended up sleeping a long, long time. I got up in the evening and we had dinner (salad, omelets, roasted sweet potatoes) and then I went back to bed.
Tuesday I had a sleepless night again and midmorning, started to feel as though I might be getting sick. I had a nap in the afternoon and got up in time to have a large snack before therapy. Therapy was a wrench, which is good and not good, of course. I got home just as Dave was getting home from his guitar lesson. We talked and decided to go out for a burger, but the nearby burger place was too crowded for me (I was feeling kind of fragile after therapy), so we came home and made dinner.
Dinner was cauliflower pizza crust topped with tomato sauce (which we almost never use because it gives me heartburn) and onions and cheese. We also had big salads to go along with it. While we ate, we watched part of an episode of British Baking Show, the Kimjoy season, one of my favorites.
After, I went back to bed. I got up after a few hours and have been up all night again, but I hope to get a little more sleep before I take my brother at 1:00 p.m. to run errands.
