I only got called for jury duty once. Wasted a whole day, because when I told them my husband was the warden at the prison, got was denied. Never been called again.
That's one way to get out of it! My friend's father is a big shot lawyer and the mention of his name gets my friend out of jury duty every time. One juror in my group said she couldn't serve on a jury because she manages a hair salon and her employees couldn't do without her. The judge was not impressed.
