A Kiss is Still A _____________?
You Must Remember This
Weird as it sounds, every January, something in The Brain goes all Casablanca on me. See? This year, since the end of January (ie, for the last six days or so) I've been netflixing my way though a Brit television series called "As Time Goes By." (It's named after the famous song from Casablanca of course, and several seasons of the show aired in the US on PBS.) Have you seen it? It is pretty funny and completely addictive. I've netflixed about seven seasons' worth of episodes (about forty-two episodes?) so far and now I want to marry Judi Dench.
I don't know why this show thrills me so much. Well, I mean, the writing's good for a light comedy. It leans in the direction of Oscar Wilde-ish writing. It's mildly witty and uses pretentiousness as a means to mock pretension. The actors suit their roles very well and never appear to be condescending to the audience. It's modern and nostalgic at the same time, something at which Brits seem to excel. And, it has my future paramour, Judi Dench in it.
I'm off the Viggo because of it anyway. So there's that.

Oh my, ages and ages ago, like when I was in university, not married yet but dating Noboru. Anyway I was hooked on a UK show too. And now that I am here in the comments section, figures the name totally escapes me. It was centered around a pub. Crazy and sorta weird characters all of them. But for some odd reason I loved that show. And now...you watch it will be driving me crazy all night logn thinking of the name of that show.
Anyway, I get the liking of British shows like that. :D
NAME JUST CAME TO ME...Eastenders, lol! Phew now that won't drive me crazy now. :D
Didn't they do a remake of Eastenders? In America? I think it was pretty rude and crude tho', maybe more than the original, and didn't take off...I dated some guy who liked it...He's history now!
