Random, Scary, and Non-Scary Things

Crunch and I hung out together this past weekend.

I'm not saying that either of us are lazy, but with the exception of our two 30 to 40 minute walks per day, this is how both of us looked most of the time.

I don't know what my excuse is, but his excuse is that he has to wear this enormous fur coat around all the time. That means that during the summer he really prefers very, very early morning and early evening walks and the rest of the time he wants to be inside with the air conditioner running full blast.

This is either the scariest urine sample ever, or it's the ginger-lemon drink that Dave favors at the Aryuvedic restaurant that we frequent. You be the judge.

We ate at this restaurant--Annapurna--twice today, once for lunch after I picked Dave up from the airport and once for dinner with my brother who has never eaten Indian food (I don't think). I always mean to take photos of our food, but I'm kind of a glutton. When the food hits the table, I'm already digging in.

Anyway, here's another scary thing: The cable TV went out at the house-sitting gig house on Saturday night.

NOOOOOO!!!!!

If you don't really know me, you might not know that I don't own a television set. Oh, sure, sometimes I Netflix and hulu, but that's all online. There is no junky cable TV programming in my life unless I'm house-sitting. Of course all that means is that if I have access to cable TV, I will watch the junkiest shows ever. I mean, I got sucked into a "Say Yes to the Dress" marathon sometime on Friday. Have you seen this show? Here's the premise of the show: Brides-to-be try on and buy wedding dresses. That's a show on TV. I watched something like four episodes before I could tear myself away.

That's pretty scary.

Here's another scary thing. (Not really.) This is El Diablo Nuevo, a new diablo plate perched on the edge of the kiln. I like him even though his eyes are all wonky. I totally did not notice that when I was carving him.

I think I'm going to make a large diablo platter next.

Fantastic plate! I think the wonky eyes are perfect. And your dog..., well I'm a sucker for dogs but wow, what a gorgeous furry critter.
