Crunch is a hard dog to photograph. He's all hair! I took this pic with my cell phone yesterday while we were on our morning walk. Yes, that's his leash leading to the collar around his neck, which is under that mass of hair.
That's the park (one of them anyway) where I walk Crunch. You can tell that he lives in a ritzy neighborhood because there are five parks within easy walking distance of his house. (Where I live, there are no parks within easy walking distance.) Most days, Crunch and I hit three parks on our walk.
Today is my last day dog-sitting Crunch and my first day dog-sitting Lewie. It's about 10:30 in the morning and I've already had breakfast, walked and fed Crunch, loaded up and brought home all my stuff from Judi's, been to the studio to load one glaze and one bisque kiln, and installed all the updates on my computer.
I still have to walk and feed Crunch one last time, change the sheets and vacuum the house where I've been staying, feed Lewie his dinner (Lewie has a big yard to run around and poop in, so he doesn't need walks), and pick up Crunch's owners from the airport. I'd like to get a nap in there somewhere, too. I only got about five hours of sleep last night. I'm tired.
One of the things I do when I'm tired is eat too much and drink too many caffeine-containing beverages. I know it's common to overeat to try to keep one's energy levels up. It's only 10:30 and I've already had Quorn nuggets, a box of Amy's pizza snacks, two cups of coffee, and half a 2-liter bottle of diet Pepsi.
I've got that tired, burning feeling in my eyes. I hate that feeling, don't you?
