Update-y Stuff, Like
Obligatory Kitty Update:
Gray Kitty is stir-crazy. He's not allowed outside for another few days, and he is going nuts. He's taken to chasing around bits of paper and little detritus-y things and also we play with him with a ribbon for long periods of time, but he is still going crazy. Also, he is still shaved on about forty percent of his body and the hair is growing in all patchy and he kinda looks like a mental patient or a four year old that got ahold of a pair of scissors (same thing).
Saba is our little gap-toothed baby now. Her dissolving stitches dissolved and her mouth is all pink gums with a tooth here and there. She was thrilled when we gave her dry food a few days earlier than she was supposed to get it. I think the stitches were itchy and she used the dry food to kind of scratch her mouth.
Other than that, they are mending up nicely.
Gym Update:
After a month, we are trying to settle on a schedule so that Dave and I don't get into the, "Do you want to go to the gym?" "Not right now, maybe later." "Tomorrow?" "I don't know. You?" "I don't know," discussions about the gym. Which I hate. So far, we've tentatively settled on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday evening thing, which is good. On those evenings, my aunt and I do a water aerobics class from 5:45 until 6:30, then after that I go upstairs and lift weights for another half hour or so.
I like the water aerobics class because it is actually aerobic, thanks to the instructor. Doesn't hurt either that he's a tall, generally good-looking, twenty-something college boy. Small wonder that his classes are filled with middle-aged women, no?
Studio Update:
I have only been to the studio two days this week, Saturday and last night. Saturday I threw and threw and threw, ten vases. Last night I carved and underglazed. The studio director liked the carved, glazed things I did and asked me to recreate them using the underglazes the studio makes. I agreed to try even though I dislike using underglazes. (They are generally more unpredictable than glazes and therefore slightly more difficult to work with. They also add an extra step or two to pathway that leads to the finished project.) Anyway, I'm trying it. We'll see.
