Short But Sweet

I was desperate to shake the awful hives Tuesday night, so I popped some benadryl around 11:00 and just let it knock me out. And it did--until 2:00 a.m. when, just like any other night, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. The hives were gone though, which was good. I was a zombie for the next 24 hours though.

I got back to sleep around 8:30 and slept until about 1:30 in the afternoon. So I did get my 8 hours, it was just broken up.

I had therapy in the evening. It's depressing to go out and come home from therapy in the dark, so I scheduled next week's session earlier.

After therapy, I went by the grocery store and walked around filling up a basket with random things, which is what I do when I go shopping without having dinner first. I came home with bananas and dried bananas, frozen veggie burgers, whole wheat hamburger buns, vegan sushi from the deli, yogurt, frozen veggies, a red pepper, and cheese sticks. There must have been some other things, too, because the total was $67. For dinner, I had the sushi, the red pepper, and some of the frozen veggies (peas and green beans). I don't think I'd eaten a vegetable--except perhaps accidentally--since Dave left on Sunday.

Speaking of Dave leaving on Sunday, he's been gone all week and was supposed to come home tomorrow, but I just got a call from him that he changed his ticket to come home tonight. Yay!

However, the house is a royal mess and I haven't washed a single dish since he left, so I certainly have my work cut out for me today. I already scrubbed the shower but now I have to tackle the rest of the bathroom and then the kitchen. SIGH! I don't care about a future with flying cars. I just want a self-cleaning house.

Yay for D coming home early!

Oh, and I tell everyone that I don't leave the house after dark so at this time of the year, people know better than to invite me to anything in the evenings. Though I do have a pottery class to teach at 6:00 - in fact, one of my new students kind of complained about it being held at 6:00 instead of at 7:00 - hahahaa, like I would ever schedule a class at 7:00 p.m.!

I want a self-cleaning bathtub (I hate hate hate cleaning bathtubs)

I hear you. I just want to be home in my pj's as soon as it gets dark--or before, just to safe! What kind of maniac wants a 7:00 p.m. class in winter? (Probably the kind that wants to hang out in the studio until 11:00.)

Bathtubs are the worst. And scrubbing floors, too. And scrubbing toilets. And, well, all of it. All of it is the worst! LOL!
