Tuesday a.m.

Well, I did take my exam last night of course. I think I did okay. I completely flubbed up some extra credit though. (The question was: What hormones does the pancreas produce and I very proudly answered with two hormones produced in the small intestines. I completely 100% forgot about insulin!)

After the exam, I made some excuse and left before the lecture. When I walk outside, it was pouring but I mean pouring rain. I was drenched by the time I reached my car, which was about ten yards away from the door. Crazy.

I got to bed a bit early, thankfully, but then woke up about 3:00 and couldn't get back to sleep right away. I finally, finally got back to sleep around 6:30 and got up again around 10:30. It was so late! I jumped up, put the kettle on, and went out in my pajamas to water the garden.

About half an hour later, I remembered the kettle, which thankfully was not boiled dry. I made coffee and had some breakfast and then did a quick 20-minute workout video online and jumped into the shower after.

I have lots of little annoying things to do today, not the least of which is an hours' worth of therapy this evening. I'd rather rent a sappy movie on Amazon and watch that. (Although now that I think of it, I did rent Steel Magnolias a week ago and haven't watched it yet, so maybe I'll do that tonight.) I also have some studying to do. (Another exam next week!) And I have to print out some material for my A&P class. (Ugh. I hate that class so much.)

I haven't seen Steel Magnolias again since I saw it with a friend. She started crying at the end of the movie, cried in the toilet after the movie and all the way home in her boyfriend's car. I didn't understand why! I just didn't like the movie that much...or feel that moved by it.

I'm sure you did fine on your exam. Good luck on your next one too!

So, did you watch your movie?
We stupidly watched the Repub stuff for awhile then I got disgusted and watched a few episodes of "Stranger Things" I didn't dig the first two episodes, but the third one started to pull me in.
A mix of Stand by Me + Fringe + a sprinkle of Minority Report + the wall from an episode of Twilight Zone.
:D

We need rain here - but I shouldn't complain to someone who lives in the Southwest!

Hi Helen! That's funny. I felt the same way about the movie the first time I saw it, like, ugh, what soppy dreck. But then I caught part of it on cable and cried through the funeral scene, where Sally Field's character breaks down in the cemetery. Now, I skip a lot of the Julia Robert's stuff (ugh!) and just watch the bits I like.

I think I did okay on the exam. At this point, I'm just trying to hang on until the end of the semester!

Hi Carol!

I didn't get around to my movie. I ended up doing some studying! So much material to cover...:(

I haven't been watching the RNC because my blood pressure can't take it! But I have been getting bits and pieces whenever I check twitter. The whole thing seems like a dystopian nightmare, doesn't it? I want Hillary to *crush* Donald Trump in the election. Like, smash him to pieces. But I think it will actually turn out to be too close for comfort. Ugh! I can't bear to think about it!

Surprise! We've been getting some rain in the evenings these days! Wouldn't seem like a lot to you, but it's like a tropical monsoon out here!
