Tuesday
Today is Tuesday and I am still not sleeping at night. My friend Grace blames the moon and I am ready to blame anyone or anything but The Brain, so I guess I'm not sleeping because of the moon. Damn moon!!
I did get a very, very long nap in the late morning and early afternoon. I finally got up around 1:15 p.m. to find that I had missed a bunch of texts. Grace and I had planned to go to the studio around 1:00 p.m., so we had to reset the time.
I got out of bed and took a shower and the shower triggered my hives, which had been threatening to erupt since last night. (Yes, I'm still dealing with that mess.) I ended up having to take some Benadryl and rub some hydrocortisone onto the really bad parts. The Benadryl put me into even slower motion, so we didn't end up at the studio until after 3:30.
I worked on my tall piece--of course I didn't think to take a picture until after I had wrapped her up for the night--and Grace worked on her little army of gods and goddesses. I added a few coils onto my piece and thought about what the top half is going to look like...and how to get there. (This is the part that I just have to do, not necessarily the part that I enjoy doing.)
Judi came out to chat a couple of times and brought Buzz with her. He's an irrepressible pup and loves to see what everyone is doing. He jumped onto my lap a couple of times (well, his front half did) and he tried to take Grace's hat off her head. I finally took him outside and ran around with him a bit so that he calmed down some.
Judi went inside after awhile and Dave came then, too. Buzzy came out to play a bit with his friend Dave before we left.
We came home via the co-op, where we got a bunch of things and forgot to get a bunch of things. We did remember our dinner fixings: bagels and neufchatel cheese, tomatoes, red onion, tofu-based lunchmeat for Dave and chicken thighs for me. While we ate, we watched part of an episode of Great British Bake Off, the season with Liam and the episode with caramel.
