Fight the Crazy

A few times a week, someone posts signs like this in or around the science and engineering library:

Can you read that? It says:

RICH NATIONS TO AID POOR ONES LONG TERM, SO THEY GROW WEAK + EASY TO TAKE OVER. (STALIN'S GOAL) FEARFUL MASTER DO OPEN BORDERS, FORGIVE WORLD BAND LOANS, AID GOING TO AFRICA/OVERSEAS HELP?

It said:

OBAMA IMPOSED COMMUNISM + SHARIA LAW ON NON-MUSLIM KENYA. HE FUNDED ITS NEW CONSTITUTION (ILLEGALLY) WITH US TAX MONEY. THE LIBERAL MSM DOESN'T SAY MUCH ABOUT IT.

Those are the two that I've taken photos of, but there have been many, many more. I usually read them, pull them off the bulletin boards, and throw them away.

Why bother to rip them down and throw them away? Because you have to fight the crazy, I think. All the crazy, not just the crazy in your own head.

I'm in the computer pods now. It's just now 8:00 a.m. Here's the plan: Coffee, then back to the library. Study until 12:30. Lunch. Lab meeting. More study. (I have an exam tomorrow.) Lab practical review. (My exam tomorrow is preceded by a lab practical.) Home. Sleep.

The banana split is very dear to the heart of British diners of a certain age. It evokes memories of 70s and 80s childhood largesse. It should, by unwritten culinary law, involve a banana, cream and ice-cream, yes, but more than this: sprinkles, and drizzled sauces in raspberry and chocolate flavours. I will accept a glacé cherry.
